About
A studio that takes a small number of clients each year by deliberate design.
Director-led residential, hospitality, and commercial interiors. One methodology, applied unchanged across three sectors. The way we deliver does not change with the brief.
Meet Manong
Director, Tone Interiors.
Manong Lewis is the sole director of Tone Interiors and has thirty-five years’ experience as a professional interior designer. She has lived in Australia, South Africa, and the United Kingdom — a breadth of background that informs every commission.
Her UK chapter opened in senior design at Scott Brownrigg, with work spanning retail, hospitality, residential, corporate, and education sectors. In 2018 she launched Tone Interiors in its current form.
She is an SBID Accredited Designer. Her work has been recognised by the SBID International Design Awards, Design Et Al’s Hotel & Property Awards, and the Global Architecture & Design Awards. She has also been on the 2025 Grand Designs design panel with Kevin McCloud.
Recent commissions include the Funky Monk Boutique Hotel, The Axe & Compasses, Beaulieu Dental Practice, and a few residential homes across Premium London and Essex.
She takes a small number of clients with her Team, each year by deliberate design. Director-led delivery at this standard is not compatible with volume.

The Tone Mission
Tone Interiors transforms exceptional properties into enduring interiors. Nothing more. Nothing less.
For homeowners, hospitality operators, and independent practice owners who are ready to hand over.
What separates a Tone Commission
Six things you do not have to argue for.
They are simply how we work.
Lidar Precision
Complete survey before we design.
Director-led Delivery
Scoped by the Director. Delivered by the same Director. There is no junior project manager translating between the studio and the trades.
Complete Costed Proposals
Itemised costings for all furniture and fittings, and specialised trades.
Full Procurement Authority
Every product is sourced through Tone’s vetted supply chain — specifiers, ateliers, and craftspeople cultivated over thirty-five years of practice. The studio contracts every trade, manages every order, and stands behind every specification. The client receives the project; the studio holds the supply chain.
Designed for You
We do have a timeless look — but we achieve our clients’ vision and style. Across residential, hospitality, and commercial work, the methodology is the constant.
White-Glove Project Management
Scheduled meetings, milestone investment, and a signed timeline. The client stays involved at every decision; the studio carries the project through to the Reveal.
Awards & Press
Recognition.
Independent recognition from the bodies that scrutinise the studios at this tier of the market.

For prospective clients
Read the Tone Commissions Book.
A sixteen-page introduction to the Tone Commission — the four-stage process, the studio’s position on the work it accepts, and the kind of property and project the methodology is built for. Residential, hospitality, and commercial sectors covered with equal weight.
No project values, no fee figures, no sales pitch. The booklet is the introduction to the studio you would receive at a Discovery.
How to begin
A Tone Commission begins with a Discovery.
A single, structured hour with the director. The conversation is the agreement to commit, on both sides, to the next stage.
